Catherine is a photographer and teacher, Barney, an anthropologist and professor; Noah is a college student in New York, Isabel is 11, Clio 9. Barney got a year off teaching and a grant to spend a year of archival and field research in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. Catherine, Isabel and Clio will spend nine months home schooling, traveling to wildlife sanctuaries, and generally learning in and about southern India. Noah will join us for a month or so in December and will head off to China in February. This blog covers our year about and abroad, 2008-2009. It begins in Cape Cod.
